First Sea Going of the Bianchi vessel

Yesterday, Thursday, Novembre 28, 2024, the First Sea Going of Bianchi Vessel. the 10th Italian FREMM frigate currently under construction at the integrated shipyards of Riva Trigoso and Muggiano, was successfully completed.

The First Sea Going represents an important milestone in the delivery process of a naval ship, as it marks the beginning of a series of sea trials and tests aimed at verifying the fulfillment of operational requirements and fine-tuning onboard equipment and systems before the ship is handed over to the Italian Navy.

This activity was preceded by areview, attended by representatives from the international agency OCCAR (Organisation for Joint Armament Co-operation), NAVARM, and other institutional bodies involved, which allowed for the verification and confirmation of the conditions and requirements for the vessel's first sea sortie.

OSN is  Prime contractor for the program signed with OCCAR for the supply of 10 state-of-the-art multi-mission European frigates (FREMM) to the Italian Navy, as well as for the subsequent development program (FREMM EVO).

The delivery of the vessel, known for its high deployment flexibility, is scheduled for July 2025.
