Ship Engineering and Architecture

The Ship Engineering and Architecture Function operates through two distinct but interconnected areas: Ship Integration and Logistics Engineering. Its primary objective is to uphold the role of Design Authority for naval units by developing and maintaining robust system, design, and execution capabilities essential for the entire product lifecycle.

This function oversees physical and functional integration tasks as well as shipyard testing procedures aboard naval units in production. It engages with various stakeholders including Customers, onboard Naval Unit commands, other business functions, and external partners to ensure seamless execution of assigned activities such as preparation, commissioning, and testing.

Activities and Responsibilities

  • Management of on-board testing and integration activities from the preparation phase of the naval unit to the final delivery to the customer
  • Management of testing documentation (e.g. Trial Procedure, Trial Report, DQAP)
  • Identification of the requirements and the process for the definition of the physical/functional project
  • Drafting technical documentation (project specifications, integration plans, etc.).

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Electronic/Telecommunications/Naval/Mechanical Engineering
  • Good ability to use the main tools of the Microsoft Office package and Project
  • Good knowledge of the English language
  • Willingness to transfer and transfers on national and international territory
  • Knowledge of radar systems and command and control systems is to be considered a preferred qualification.
  • Personal characteristics such as interpersonal skills, strong orientation to team working and the ability to react positively to work pressure while maintaining control and remaining focused on the priorities and objectives assigned by one's manager are considered fundamental.
