On 6 December , 2023 in Paris, the Director of OCCAR-EA Joachim Sucker signed, on behalf of Italy and France, amendment number 25 to the FREMM contract with the Chief Executive Officer of Orizzonte Sistemi Navali (OSN) the Engineer Giovanni Sorrentino and Mr. Jullien Bouchet, Commercial Director of Naval Group (NG).
This contractual amendment marks a further and important step in the program with the aim of continuing to fully meet the operational requirements of the Italian and French Navies, even in the context of the increasingly complex geo-political scenarios in place. On this occasion, the Italian and French representatives sought to highlight the exceptional results achieved by the FREMM program and how its many successes are the result of close cooperation between the Industries, OCCAR, NAVARM, DGA and the General Staff of the Italian and French Navies.
