In early September, Giovanni Sorrentino, the CEO of Orizzonte Sistemi Navali S.p.A., and Professor Francesco Cupertino, the Rector of Politecnico di Bari, signed an important agreement aimed at initiating structured collaborations in both technological research and development, including the use of artificial intelligence, as well as in educational and training activities.
The agreement represents an example of synergy between the defense industry and the academic world, aimed at sharing and systematizing resources to jointly promote and develop innovation, new technologies, and scientific applications by leveraging the national excellence present in their respective fields.
