Ship Engineering and Architecture

The Ship Engineering and Architecture Function operates across two key domains: Ship Integration and Logistics Engineering. Its core objective is to uphold the Design Authority role for naval units by developing and sustaining robust system, design, and execution capabilities essential for the entire product lifecycle.

Responsibilities include overseeing physical and functional integration activities as well as shipyard testing procedures aboard naval units in production. This involves seamless coordination with Customers, onboard Naval Unit commands (UU.NN.), other internal business functions, and external partners to ensure successful completion of assigned tasks such as preparation, commissioning, and testing.

Activities and Responsibilities

  • Management of on-board testing and integration activities from the preparation phase of the naval unit to the final delivery to the customer
  • Management of testing documentation (e.g. Trial Procedure, Trial Report, DQAP)
  • Identification of the requirements and the process for the definition of the physical/functional project
  • Drafting technical documentation (project specifications, integration plans, etc.).

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Electronics/Telecommunications/Naval/Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar positions
  • Good ability to use the main tools of the Microsoft Office package and Project
  • Good knowledge of English for managing documentation and technical and relationships with suppliers
  • Willingness to transfer and transfers on national and international territory
  • Knowledge of the French language is to be considered a preferred qualification.
  • Personal characteristics such as interpersonal skills, strong orientation to team working and the ability to react positively to work pressure while maintaining control and remaining focused on the priorities and objectives assigned by one's manager are considered fundamental.
