The resource will be responsible for ensuring that the development, construction and installation of a product, and that its document structure are managed in accordance with contractual requirements and configuration management rules. The configuration engineer will be responsible, through appropriate Product Data Management, to create the structure of the project/product and control the evolution of the configurative state throughout its life cycle.

Activities and Responsibilities

  • Defines the rules for the configuration management program based on contractual requirements and product needs both during production and operation;
  • Prepare and update the Ship-level Configuration Management Plan;
  • Check the CMP of SS/AA level suppliers;
  • Check the PBS (Product Breakdown Structure) and CR (Configuration Registers) of the suppliers;
  • Defines the Vessel level PBS/CR;
  • Ensure that the evolution of the project (ECP and FBL, ABD & PBL baseline) complies with the requirements established by the Configuration Management Plan;
  • Manages the evolution process by initiating project variant proposals (ECP) and follows the relative flow of approval and/or dissemination of information;
  • Manages the product structure in the company's Product Data Management (PDM);
  • Support and control the evolution of the variant through the ECO and FCO phases;
  • Convoke and participate in configuration audits and reviews;
  • Perform configuration checks during factory and on-board tests;
  • It ensures the management of the configuration in operation (as maintained).

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Management/Mechanical Engineering;
  • Mimino 3 years of experience in similar positions;
  • Knowledge of the basic principles of Artificial Intelligence;
  • Good knowledge of English (level B2 or higher);
  • Willingness to transfer and/or transfers within the national territory.

Specific skills

  • Knowledge of the configuration management process;
  • Knowledge of the processes of managing obsolescence.
